Cookie Notice
Last updated: {insert date}
This cookie notice explains how Launchpad GCC uses cookies and similar technologies on its website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy in Part 1 of this pack.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to tell the website owner how visitors use the site.
This notice also covers similar technologies that do the same kind of job, including pixels, tags, web beacons and local storage. We refer to all of them as "cookies" here. Cookies we set ourselves are first-party cookies. Cookies set by other organisations whose tools we use are third-party cookies.
2. The categories of cookies we use
We group the cookies on our website into four categories.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the website to work and cannot be switched off. They are set only in response to things you do, such as submitting our contact form or moving between pages, and they include a cookie that remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site will then stop working.
Performance and analytics cookies
These let us count visits and see how people move around the site, through Squarespace’s built-in analytics, so we can understand what is useful and improve it. We look at this information in aggregate, but some of it, such as your IP address, can identify you before it is aggregated, so we treat it as personal data. These cookies stay off until you accept them through our cookie banner.
Functional cookies
These would remember choices you make to give you a more personalised experience. We do not use any functional cookies at present.
Marketing and advertising cookies
These would be set by advertising or social media partners if we ran campaigns through them, for example a LinkedIn insight tag to measure how an advertisement performed. We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies at present. If that changes, we will list them below and set them only with your consent.
3. The cookies we use on this website
The tables below list the cookies in use. We keep them up to date as the site changes. Cookie durations are set by Squarespace and may vary slightly. If you have a question about a specific cookie, contact us using the details in section 7.
Strictly necessary cookies
crumb — protects forms, including the contact form, against cross-site request forgery — session — first party.
test — checks whether your browser accepts cookies, to avoid errors — session — first party.
RecentRedirect — prevents redirect loops where a page has been redirected — about 30 minutes — first party.
Performance and analytics cookies (set only after you accept them)
ss_cid — identifies unique visitors and tracks their sessions to populate Squarespace Analytics — 2 years — first party.
ss_cvr — stores the values used to recognise returning visitors — 2 years — first party.
ss_cpvisit — records the date of a visitor’s previous visit — 2 years — first party.
ss_cvisit — tracks the current visit — 30 minutes — first party.
ss_cvt — counts page views within the current visit — 30 minutes — first party.
Functional cookies

Marketing and advertising cookies
None in use at present.
4. Your choices about cookies
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the site cannot work without them. Analytics cookies stay off until you accept them.
You can accept all non-essential cookies, decline them, or choose which categories to allow. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. Your choice applies to the browser and device you are using.
5. Controlling cookies through your browser
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies, including ones already set. The exact location changes between browser versions, but it is usually under the privacy or cookies section of your browser’s settings. For general guidance you can visit allaboutcookies.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site working properly.
6. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal or operational reasons. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and any update takes effect when we publish it.
